PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
This computer is based on the Intel S-Series microprocessor intended for the individual professional computer user. This computer is user upgradable from the 486/33sx thru the 486/100 DX and uses industry standard 19mm Hard Disk Drives. Standard memory is 4MB expandable to 24MB.
Internal video adapter Western Digital 512K. The user removable/interchangeable LCD panel ranges from STN monochrome to DSTN color and TFT color in the various models. External video supported includes 1024 x 768 (x 256 colors), 800 x 600 (x 256 colors) and 640 x 480 (x 256 colors). Simulscan at LCD panel resolution is available. Built-in audio including a built-in microphone and Stereo Audio Input and Output jacks are additional new features. Two type II PCMCIA devices or one type III PCMCIA device is supported including ZDS approved PCMCIA LAN adapters.
The computer comes pre-installed with the latest version of MS-DOS« and Windows for Workgroups, Integrated (Microsoft PS/2 compatible) Trackball Drivers and PCMCIA Card/Socket Services and Microsoft Sound System 2.0 Software. CoSession software comes pre-installed and supplied on disk. This package allows the ZDS Customer Assistance Center (CAC) to access the customers computer providing the computer is operational and the customer has a modem connected. Online documentation is also pre-installed.
The Port Replicator has both an Ethernet and PCMCIA option which can either be ordered initially or added at a later date.

Under limited warranty, maintenance to be performed to the major module assembly level utilizing available Zenith Data Systems diagnostics and service information. The Field Replaceable Units (FRU) section of this PMRB lists the replacement parts. European parts such as line cords, keyboards, keycaps, etc. are NOT available in the US.
NOTE: Items in the FRU section with a "smiling face symbol" (J) can normally be exchanged directly with the end user since no tools are required. They are merely a "plug and play" item. Accessing The CMOS Setup On A Z-NOTEFLEX
Accessing the CMOS Setup program can be done in one of the two following methods.
1. If the end user wants to reboot the system and then enter into the CMOS Setup, then press Ctrl-Alt-Ins. This key combination allows the end user to enter the Setup program through the ZDS Utilities Menu. When the ZDS Utilities Menu appears, select Setup.

2. If the end user is currently running a software program and would like to make changes in the hardware configuration, have the end user press Fn-F5. This key combination allows the end user to enter the CMOS Setup program directly from the keyboard so that changes may be made without rebooting the system.
Note
Do not enter the Setup program while the computer is connected to a network or the network connection will be lost. Any further attempt to access the network will result in a brief delay where the computer will appear to be locked up (up to one minute, depending upon the network). After the delay, an error message will appear. Follow the directions provided on the screen to restore normal operation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
This computer is based on the Intel S-Series microprocessor intended for the individual professional computer user. This computer is user upgradable from the 486/33 thru the 486/100 and uses industry standard 19mm Hard Disk Drives. Standard memory is 4MB expandable to 24MB.
The user removable/interchangable LCD panel ranges from STN monochrome to DSTN color & TFT color in the various models. External video supported video includes 1024 x 768 (x 256 colors), 800 x 600 (x 256 colors) and 640 x 480 (x 256 colors). Simulscan at LCD panel resolution is available. Built-in audio including a built in microphone and Stereo Audio Input and Output jacks are additional new features. Two type II PCMCIA devices or one type III PCMCIA device is supported including ZDS approved PCMCIA LAN adapters.
The computer comes pre-installed with the latest version of MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows for Workgroups, Integrated (Microsoft PS/2 compatible) Trackball Drivers & PCMCIA Card/Socket Services and Microsoft Sound System 2.0 Software.
