PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Z-STAR EX is based on the Cyrix and Intel 486 series microprocessors. Standard IDE hard drive sizes include 200MB, 250MB, 340MB, 420MB, and 520MB capacities. All models have 4MB of system memory soldered on the main board, and are expandable to 20MB. The LCD panels used are STN monochrome, DSTN color, or TFT color. Standard video memory is 1MB for monochrome and color models. External video supported includes 1024 x 768 (256 colors), 800 x 600 (256 colors) and 640 x 480 (256 colors).

Features include two Type II PCMCIA slots forming a single Type III slot, socket for a 16-bit MPC audio module (or modem module on selected models), 32-bit VESA local-bus video, J-Mouse or HandiPoint pointing device, speaker, one serial port, one EPP/ECP enhanced parallel port, external video port, PS/2-compatible mouse/keyboard/keypad port, modular floppy drive, and modular AC adapter.

MS-DOS, Windows, PCMCIA Card and Socket Services, and SVGA video drivers come preloaded.
